Where is the Centre?
The Carmarthen First Class Learning Centre is located in the Public Library in
on St. Peter’s Street. There is a large car park just 20 metres away.
When does it meet?
Classes are held weekly on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 4-00pm and 6-00pm.
The children can arrive any time between 4-00 and 5-30. The length of time
spent in the Centre is usually around 15 to 20 minutes for each subject.
What age groups study with First
Class Learning?
First Class Learning is suitable for all ages, from pre-school to teens. The
majority of students who start are of primary school age, but a significant
number are secondary school children who have discovered that they are having
problems after leaving primary.
As a general rule, the earlier the child starts the better. If you have the
slightest concern that your child is not performing at school to the maximum of
their capabilities, don't leave it until it is too late. Contact us now!
Does
First Class Learning address the requirements of the National Curriculum in Wales?
Yes. Some after school programmes are used in many
different countries and are not designed to cater for a particular
curriculum. First Class Learning was developed by a team of educationalists specifically
to support the National Curriculum in England
& Wales and the 5-14
programme in Scotland.
Using a combination of carefully structured worksheets and textbooks, the
First Class Learning programme will take your child from the basics of the
subject through to the more demanding aspects of school work. The success that
your child will experience in the early stages will provide the confidence to
tackle work which previously may have seemed too difficult.
