Yes, it was great fun and so lovely to meet up with friends again. My highlight was on Friday, when I was lucky enough to attend the National Literacy Forum. The purpose of the day was to produce a manifesto publication about the future of reading. I'll keep everyone posted. We had some interesting discussions and heard some great speakers; author Aidan Chambers, Professor David Crystal, Wendy Cooling from Bookstart and - best of all - Michael Rosen, whose talk was entertaining, stimulating and provocative. Just brilliant!
