Kidderminster Student Scoops Maths Award

A SIX year-old-girl who was once “scared” of figures has overcome her fear of maths and has been awarded her school’s headteacher award for maths.

Sophie Eldridge, who suffers from a form of dyslexia, used to cry before she went to class as she dreaded maths but things started to improve after she became a student at the Kidderminster First Class Learning maths and English Centre run by husband and wife team Andrew and Sara Wisdom.

First Class Learning Watford will have an information desk at the Harlequin Shopping Centre on Sunday 15th April.
Come and meet the Centre Managers and the rest of the team to discuss your children’s requirements as well as review a selection of our teaching materials. Free Maths and English assessments will also be available on the day on a first come first served basis.
The Watford maths and English tuition Centre is located at the Newton Price Centre, Grosvenor Road, Watford WD17 2QT (opposite the Harlequin Shopping Centre) and classes are held on Wednesdays from 3.30pm to 5.30pm and on Saturdays from 11.00am to 1.00pm

Evington Centre Partners With Leisure Centre

From Tuesday 20th March 2012, the First Class Learning Centre in Evington, Leicester will be moving to a new venue. The new class continues to run on Tuesdays from 3.30 – 5.30pm, but will now be at the Evington Leisure Centre, Downing Drive, Evington LE5 6LP.

Centre Managers Aynit Shah and Shanti Odedra, who also run 3 other centres in Leicester – Oadby, Stoneygate and Uppingham Road, are delighted to partner with Evington Leisure Centre. “Children can exercise their minds with us, then go for a swim!” said Aynit Shah.

Year 5 Student Gains Algebra Award

Sunderland maths student Jess has just been awarded with a certificate for excellence in algebra.

David Taylor, maths tutor at the Sunderland Centre says, “Jess became a student at the centre in June 2008 and we started on pre-operations work; counting dots and learning place value. She is an excellent student, never misses class and is now studying GCSE level Algebra. Everyone at the Sunderland Centre is so proud of her achievements”.
