New Tuition Centre Gets Mayor’s Approval

The Mayor of Wigan, Councillor Joy Birch, opened the doors to the new First Class Learning maths and English tuition Centre in Wigan, with families flocking to the open day to discover more about the new extra-tuition format sweeping the nation.

First Class Learning Wigan initially opened as a summer school before term time began, with this open day marking the beginning of a fully fledged maths and English tuition service for children of all ages. The centre manager, Stephen Peacock, organised the event which gave parents and children the chance to see the programmes in action.

The event proved a great success with many parents applying to enrol their children for tuition on the day. The Mayor, Councillor Joy birch was also impressed by the vision of the centre and its aims to support the learning of local children.
