First Class Learning promotes independent learning and study skills, so that your child gains the confidence to tackle new concepts

Our centre

Welcome to the Telford First Class Learning Centre. We tutor children, from Early Years and Primary through to KS3, in English and maths. We love helping students achieve their potential, whatever their ability. Our expert tutors will help support your child's learning in maths, English or both subjects together.

Our aim is to BUILD CONFIDENCE by helping students experience SUCCESS. Our maths and English tuition programmes are carefully personalised for each individual so they are able to complete tasks in ACHIEVABLE STEPS. One-to-one support is always given to help students succeed.

The tailor made courses are systematic, flexible and relevant, all designed by experts to support children’s learning at school. We are confident that tuition provided for each student will help them develop good study and independent learning skills.

Andrew and Sara are enthusuastic and caring tutors. We know that a positive learning environment helps students learn and they can then make consistent progress!

From the basics of reading, writing and spelling to comprehension and creative writing skills, the First Class Learning English Programme follows principles that make it ideal for all learners, whether primary or secondary. Drawing on a variety of imaginative materials, the programme develops the key skills that allow the learner to read and write fluently, confidently and with enjoyment.

The First Class Learning Maths programme is designed to equip your child with the fundamental skills required for success in school Mathematics. Using a range of resources, it covers all the essential areas of the school curriculum.

How it works

One of our First Class Learning tutors will meet with you to discuss your child. They will then sit down with your child and complete an assessment to determine which path is most suitable for them. Once we have established your child’s needs, we will put together a bespoke course of action that will support and encourage your child’s learning.

If you feel happy with our plan and that we are the best option for you and your child, they will then be able to start attending regular classes at the centre. In these classes they will complete a short piece of work which will be marked, returned and discussed with the tutor, who will give them a detailed programme of homework to be completed before the next class.

Your next steps

If First Class Learning is the right fit for you and your child, and you would like to arrange an assessment, please contact your local Centre Manager. They will inform you on how your child can become one of the growing number of students in the UK enjoying success with First Class Learning.
