First Class Learning Centre for Maths and English Tuition in Dollis Hill, Neasden

Who runs the centre?
Sangita, the centre manager, has run a successful Maths and English after-school centre in Dollis Hill for the past 9 years and also has a centre in Cricklewood.
Where is the centre?
The centre is based at St Catherine's Church Hall (see above for details). There is parking available and a waiting area for parents/guardians.
The programme
First Class Learning is a long term programme and students generally stay with us for a number of years. We support your child's learning with the aim of raising self esteem and confidence, thus making their school studies easier. Maths and English can be studied as individual subjects or studied together.
How does it work?
Using a combination of carefully structured worksheets, workbooks and textbooks, the First Class Learning programme will take your child from the basics of maths and/or English through to the more demanding aspects of school work.
Before you decide to enrol your child with First Class Learning, she/he will be assessed by the Centre Manager. The assessment will help to determine his/her specific needs and ensure a suitable starting point in the course.
What happens in class?
Your child will attend class once on a Monday during term time. Each visit to the Study Centre should take between 20 & 30 minutes, or a little longer if a student is studying two subjects. Students are provided with a task to complete which is then marked and any errors corrected. Students receive guidance whenever necessary, but independent learning is encouraged.
Home Study
At each visit to the Centre, your child will be given a detailed programme of home study which reinforces and consolidates their class work. The work needs to be completed on a daily basis by each student and you will be required to mark the work (handbooks will be provided!). This ensures that you will always be fully aware of the work your child is doing and the progress being made. This homework then needs to be returned at each class session where feedback will be provided.
