You can ensure that they gain the necessary skills when they enrol for Maths and English tuition at the Oxford, Cowley First Class Learning Centre. Developing these skills takes time and dedication, so the sooner you start the programme, the more effective it will be.
Who We Are:
At the Oxford, Cowley Centre, we support children of all ages with their Maths and English, from Reception all the way up to GCSE level. We aim to build confidence in our students and develop their ability to learn independently - a critical life skill. Children thrive with us because our tuition is tailored to their specific needs and because we ensure that they understand and master every topic.

First Class Learning is a long-term programme and students often stay with us for a number of years; there is no 'quick fix' for academic attainment unfortunately. The programme is in line with the National Curriculum so that it supplements school work and can be beneficial to school entrance, SATs and exams too.
How Does It Work?
By combining a structured worksheet programme with hard work and constant support from your First Class Learning Tutor, your child will progress from the basics of Maths and English, all the way to the most demanding aspects of each subject. FCL was carefully developed by a team of education and developmental experts to support and meet the goals set by the National Curriculum in Britain.

Enrolling your child with us involves having an initial assessment with the Centre Manager, who will also answer any questions you may have about the programme. There is no charge nor any obligation at this stage. This assessment is then used to determine your child's individual needs and allows us to create a work programme for effective learning and progress.
After this, your child will visit the Study Centre on weekly on Wednesday afternoons and also be given daily homework to keep them progressing. This will constitute a few worksheets per day which, together with their Centre visits and support from both parents and tutors, will result in noticeable benefits to your child's performance, understanding and confidence.
