Who we are
Welcome to the Leeds Roundhay First Class Learning Centre. We support children and adults in the local community with both maths and English tuition.
Students of all ages attend our study centre at Oakwood Church (formerly Roundhay Methodist Church) on Springwood Road. We cater for learners from Early Years and primary through to GCSE and adult students.
Our expert tutors support your child's learning in maths, English or both subjects together in order to help with their school studies, build confidence and develop independent learning skills.
Our English and maths programmes are tailored to learners' individual needs so students move on only when they are confident with a topic. At First Class Learning we believe in 1% steps to 100% success.
How does it work?
The First Class Learning Centre (FCL) Tutor will complete a free assessment which will determine your child's curriculum level and the features of FCL will be explained with any questions answered.
If all parties agree that FCL is right for you, your child can start attending classes and gaining the benefits of FCL study which involves regularly attendance at the centre.
Here they will complete a short piece of work which will be marked, returned and discussed with the Tutor. Your child will be given a detailed programme of homework to be completed before the next class.
Your next step
If you think that FCL might be right for you please contact your local Centre Manager and arrange for a free assessment.
You will then be able to find out how your child can become one of the growing number in the UK enjoying success with First Class Learning.
I can now do division with remainders and fractions! I just love coming to FCL because I get 10 out of 10 in my Maths now.
Well we are all delighted that, as hoped, our daughter has moved up a table for her maths.
I must give FCL tremendous credit as my son has totally overcome his fear of writing. Thank you for constant encouragement.
Since Aidan has been attending First Class Learning, his reading and handwriting has improved no end.
I like coming to FCL as I can do all my tables and do division with remainders.
Aiden has improved so much and his teachers have commented on it too. He enjoys maths lessons now instead of worrying.
