Maths and English Tuition at Bethnal Green

During this period of increased Covid 19 risk we are providing live, fully interactive online classes to all students, where we teach in the same way as we do face to face. A bespoke programme of work is is sent to you for your child by courier to do during the lessons in addition to a structured homework programme. I have a Masters degree in Online and Distance Education so your child receives the most expert support at this challenging time.

We provide English and maths tuition to children in Hackney and Tower Hamlets. Each child has an individual study programme based on their needs and all materials meet the National Curriculum aims and objectives. Progress is built on a mixture of classwork and homework, which provides the practice needed for learning and success in SATs and GCSE exams.

Our English programme concentrates on reading, grammar, vocabulary, spelling, punctuation and essay writing for KS2- GCSE in Bethnal Green.

Our maths programme focuses on building confidence and expertise in key topics. Many students who did not believe they were good in maths are now skilled and confident in this subject.

Registration is open for new courses including general English, general maths, KS1 SATs, KS2 SATs, GCSE maths and GCSE English.

How we work

Our First Class Learning Centre Manager will call you to discuss how we can help your child with maths or English. They will then assist your child to complete an assessment to determine which path is most suitable for them. Once we have established your child's needs, we will put together a bespoke course of action that will support and encourage your child's learning. If you feel happy with our plan and that we are the best option for you and your child, they will then be able to start attending regular classes at the centre or online. In these classes they will complete a short piece of work which will be marked, returned and discussed with the Centre Manager, who will give them a detailed programme of homework to be completed before the next class.

FAQ

What will my child be studying?
All children have an individual programme based on their needs. I develop a programme for your child based on their assessment, which they do before they join the class.
Do I have to buy the books you use?
We provide all the learning materials for the work we set but we ask that you provide your child with a pen and basic stationary e.g. a ruler, highlighters . Please ask if you are not sure what they need for their age group/subjects.
Can my child bring their school work?
I will develop a programme of study for your child based on the assessment and this is what they will be doing in class and for homework. We will always try to help your child with any questions from school to do with the subjects they are studying with us.
What happens if I want to cancel?
I ask that you give me one month’s notice of any changes or when you want to stop as I am organising your child’s learning and materials. Just send me an email or text and I will acknowledge it asap.
