First Class Learning promotes independent learning and study skills, so that your child gains the confidence to tackle new concepts
Welcome to the Chiswick Park First Class Learning Centre. We support children and adults in the local community with both maths and English tuition.
Students of all ages attend our study centres. If you are looking for alternative days, we also have centres running on:
- Thursdays from 4.30pm - 6.30pm : www.firstclasslearning.co.uk/chiswick-riverside.
- Saturdays from 10am - 1pm : www.firstclasslearning.co.uk/chiswick
Our Wednesday study centre is at The Mission Hall in W4. We cater for learners from Early Years through to those taking their GCSEs.
Our expert tutors support your child's learning in maths and English, helping to build your child's confidence with their school studies and develop their independent learning skills.
Our maths and English programmes are tailored to your child's individual needs, with students moving on once they have consolidated a topic.
At First Class Learning - Chiswick, we also offer additional packages for students taking entrance exams, SATs and GCSEs, focusing on developing exam technique and applying skills to exam-style questions, appropriate to their chosen school(s) or exam board. This also includes completing relevant papers and receiving detailed feedback, alongside further time at the centre and support from our experienced staff.
At First Class Learning - Chiswick, we offer free diagnostic assessments, allowing us to identify strengths and areas to improve. The assessments are carried out by the centre managers, who are both qualified teachers.
From the basics of reading, writing and spelling to comprehension and creative writing skills, the First Class Learning English Programme follows principles that make it ideal for all learners, whether primary or secondary. Drawing on a variety of imaginative materials, the programme develops the key skills that allow the learner to read and write fluently, confidently and with enjoyment.
The First Class Learning Maths programme is designed to equip your child with the fundamental skills required for success in school Mathematics. Using a range of resources, it covers all the essential areas of the school curriculum.
How it works
One of our First Class Learning tutors will meet with you to discuss how we can help your child with maths or English. They will then sit down with your child and complete an assessment to determine which path is most suitable for them. Once we have established your child’s needs, we will put together a bespoke course of action that will support and encourage your child’s learning. If you feel happy with our plan and that we are the best option for you and your child, they will then be able to start attending regular classes at the centre. In these classes they will complete a short piece of work which will be marked, returned and discussed with the tutor, who will give them a detailed programme of homework to be completed before the next class.
Your next steps
If First Class Learning is the right fit for you and your child, and you would like to arrange an assessment, please contact your local Centre Manager. They will inform you on how your child can become one of the growing number of students in the UK enjoying success with First Class Learning.
