Our qualified, expert tutors have a wealth of experience delivering targeted tuition to children of all ages and abilities. Your child's study programme is unique to them and therefore delivered with 1:1 support. The aim of the programme is to support the mastery of Maths and English underpinning the core skills required to excel at the national curriculum whilst building confidence and developing lifelong independent learning skills.

We believe that every child has the potential to achieve greatness, our job is to treat the child as an individual and support them in unleashing their full potential.

How it works

At First Class Learning we recognise that every child is different. One of our expert tutors will meet with you to discuss how we can help your child with English and Maths. They will then complete a detailed diagnostics assessment allowing them to prepare a bespoke programme to support, nurture and promote your child's learning. Your child is now be ready to attend regular sessions where they will be given a set of work which introduces them to a learning objective. Your child will then complete a short piece of work supported by our expert tutors and a student handbook. The piece of work will then be marked and discussed before homework is set for the week. At First Class Learning we believe in 'little but often' approach to learning. Homework is designed to take up no more than 20 minutes per subject per day. Little but often is proven to embed learning into the long term memory, allowing students to constantly feel a sense of achievement, raises their self esteem and fosters a positive 'can do' mindset.

From the basics of reading, writing and spelling to comprehension and creative writing skills, the First Class Learning English Programme follows principles that make it ideal for all learners, whether primary or secondary. Drawing on a variety of imaginative materials, the programme develops the key skills that allow the learner to read and write fluently, confidently and with enjoyment.
