Maths and English Tuition in Abbots Langley

COVID-19 News - In line with recent measures this centre is temporarily closed for face-to-face visits. However, our centres are still supporting remote learning. Our individualised worksheet programmes can be sent to your home and your child assisted remotely as they progress, via our secure video platform.

Welcome to the Abbots Langley First Class Learning Centre. We support children and adults in the local community with both maths and English tuition.

How It Works

We will call you to discuss how we can help your child with Maths or English. We will then assist your child to complete an assessment to determine which path is most suitable for them. Once we have established your child's needs, we will put together a bespoke course of action that will support and encourage your child's learning. If you feel happy with our plan and that we are the best option for you and your child, they will then be able to start attending regular classes at the centre or online. In these classes, they will complete a short piece of work which will be marked, returned and discussed with the Centre Manager, who will give them a detailed programme of homework to be completed before the next class.

Mrs Johnson

Centre Manager

I am the Centre Manager for Abbots Langley First Class Learning Centre. My role is to support your child as he or she goes through his/her First Class Learning journey. I enjoy seeing students advance to work not yet covered in school or being accepted into top schools of their choice. I am deeply committed to my centre's educational mission to help each student reach and perform at their full potential. My interest to become a Centre Manager started when my daughter joined the programme at the age of four and immediately, I noticed the difference it made to her knowledge of maths and English, as well as an improvement in her self-confidence and discipline. Her success is achieved through hard work and I will try to instil this in each of my students. Each student is important to me and I care not only about their academic advancement, but about their overall wellbeing. My greatest achievements are enabling my students to gain self-confidence, allowing them to become independent self-learners and helping them to build strong study habits. I have an MSc degree from UCL in Economics, and A-Level English. I have a true passion for education and a desire to help children succeed in life.
