BOOK A NO OBLIGATION ASSESSMENT
Welcome to First Class Learning in Bedford. We run centres in two locations in Bedford with the second located in Queens Park. You can find details of the Queens Park venue by following this link: https://www.firstclasslearning.co.uk/centre/bedford-west
Our helpful and friendly staff are specially trained to help your child get the most from their time with us. The centre is run by Andrew Turpie, a teacher for more than twenty years, who has helped hundreds of children achieve success. Since opening in 2012 our centre has a 100% success rate when it comes to our students GCSE exams. That's six years now of helping those struggling students to pass exams they weren't expecting to whilst helping the more able students achieve the excellent grades they desire. We offer a first class service to all all of our students from age 4 to 16. In addition to studying maths and English with us you can also study GCSE science
World Book Day Competition
A Story writing competition organised by First Class Learning Bedford and Rogan’s Books.
A brief summary of the competition is included below. Links to full terms and conditions and an application form are now available in the box entitled 'How it works' which is found to the right of this box. If you prefer you can drop us an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and we can email you copies of those documents.
Free to enter and open to children throughout Bedfordshire aged 5 to 16. Over £600 worth of prizes will be awarded over 3 age categories. Entrants must write a fictional short story (no more than 500 words in length). Entries must be an original piece of fiction and not an account of real events – either historical or current. However, stories can feature well known public figures from present day or from history (e.g. Wayne Rooney or Charles Darwin) take place in historical eras (e.g. the English Civil War) or use real-life experiences as a creative springboard as long as the story is FICTIONAL. Entries must be submitted to Rogan’s Books on Castle Lane. Entrants will be asked to provide their name, gender, school and their age. All stories should be submitted in English.
One of our First Class Learning tutors will meet with you to discuss how we can help your child with maths or English. They will then sit down with your child and complete an assessment to determine which path is most suitable for them. Once we have established your child’s needs, we will put together a bespoke course of action that will support and encourage your child’s learning.
If you feel happy with our plan and that we are the best option for you and your child, they will then be able to start attending regular classes at the centre. In these classes they will complete a short piece of work which will be marked, returned and discussed with the tutor, who will give them a detailed programme of homework to be completed before the next class.
