Maths and English Tuition at Bounds Green
Welcome to First Class Learning Bounds Green, where children learn to succeed. This centre is run by Sharmina Yasmin. We are delighted to support children in the local community including school and home educated learners, of all abilities.
Students are welcome to attend our centre at Shaftesbury Hall, Herbert Road, N11 2QN and Alexandra Park School, N11 2AZ. We cater for learners from Early Years and Primary through to GCSE. We will provide your child with a structured, individualised daily study plan of about 10-15 minutes each day.
Our maths and English programmes are flexible and tailored to learners' individual needs and abilities, so students move on only when they are confident with a topic. Regular testing ensures that the best possible progress is made. The 'little and often' approach, with plenty of repetition and practice, really does make a huge difference.
Our fully trained and expert Centre Managers support your child's learning in order to help with their school studies, build confidence and develop independent learning skills. The First Class learning programme is aligned with the National Curriculum, so you can be rest assured that your child will be taught the most relevant topics at the right time.
We believe that it is important to develop problem solving skills and comprehension skills early on so that children can apply themselves in every other subject in school. At First Class Learning we believe in 1% steps to 100% success.
How we work
Our First Class Learning Centre Manager, Sharmina will call you to discuss how we can help your child with maths and English. They will then assist your child to complete an assessment to determine which path is most suitable for them. Once we have established your child's needs, we will put together a bespoke course of action that will support and encourage your child's learning. If you feel happy with our plan and that we are the best option for you and your child, they will then be able to start attending regular classes at the centre. In these classes they will complete a short piece of work which will be marked, returned, and discussed with the Centre Manager, who will give them a detailed programme of homework to be completed before the next class.
