Maths and English Tuition at Gorj

Welcome to First Class Learning Gorj, the Study Centre where children learn English successfully. We are happy to support the education of Tirgu Jiu children with personalised English and maths learning programmes.

Our English and maths programmes are flexible and tailored to each child's individual skills and needs, so that everyone learns and progresses at their own pace. Regular testing of the lessons learned ensures that progress is made.

First Class Learning offers an alternative to traditional study, focusing on the individual needs of the child. The student is guided in the learning process and does not move on until he is confident in his own skills and knowledge. As a result, the child does not learn for grades or tests, but forever! First Class Learning helps students to develop self-confidence, speak advanced English, and encourages a love of learning, reading, and achieving.

How we work

The Centre Manager, Ana Stoica, completes a diagnostic test with your child in English or maths. Depending on the results, a personalised study programme is created for the student, and the parent receives feedback on the strengths and where improvement is needed in the subject. Once enrolled, the child will visit the First Class Learning Centre once a week, where they will receive 1-1 support, but also in groups, and will go home with a small amount of daily homework to reinforce the topics learned at the centre.

The First Class Learning Centre is managed by Ana Stoica, mother, wife, and qualified First Class Learning instructor in the UK, passionate about working with children and eager to see them reach their full potential. Ana has specialised in working with children in Great Britain for the last 8 years, but also in Romania, Bucharest, for the first 2 years of her career. As a specialist in the British Curriculum, Ana offers an alternative to traditional study, focusing on the child, on perfecting English for the future, for life, not only for test results. Ana motivates her students to know their qualities and abilities and encourages them to reach their full potential.

Maths

The First Class Learning maths programme is designed to equip your child with the fundamental skills required for success in school mathematics. Using a range of resources, it covers all the essential areas of the school curriculum. It builds upon prior learning ensuring concepts are embedded before moving on.

English

Our English programme concentrates on reading, phonics, grammar, spelling, vocabulary, punctuation, comprehension, creative writing and cursive handwriting. The initial assessment checks your child's specific needs so that we can provide an individualised programme most appropriate and engaging for them.
