Welcome to First Class Learning in Bedford. Our helpful and friendly staff are specially trained to help your child get the most from their time with us. In addition to offering maths tuition and English tuition we also offer GCSE science tuition.The centre is run by Andrew Turpie, a teacher for more than twenty years, who has helped hundreds of children achieve success. Since opening in 2012 our centre has a 100% success rate when it comes to our students GCSE exams. That's six years now of helping those struggling students to pass exams they weren't expecting to whilst helping the more able students achieve the excellent grades they desire. World Book Day Competition
A Story writing competition organised by First Class Learning Bedford and Rogan's Books.
A brief summary of the competition is included below. Free to enter and open to children throughout Bedfordshire aged 5 to 16. Over £600 worth of prizes will be awarded over 3 age categories. Entrants must write a fictional short story (no more than 500 words in length). Entries must be an original piece of fiction and not an account of real events either historical or current. However, stories can feature well known public figures from present day or from history (e.g. Wayne Rooney or Charles Darwin) take place in historical eras (e.g. the English Civil War) or use real-life experiences as a creative springboard as long as the story is FICTIONAL. Entries must be submitted to Rogan's Books on Castle Lane. Entrants will be asked to provide their name, gender, school and their age. All stories should be submitted in English.
Once we have established your child's needs, we will put together a bespoke course of action that will support and encourage your child's learning. They will then be able to start attending regular classes at the centre or online, where they will complete work in their chosen subject(s). Andrew, Laura or one of our other trained Centre Managers will assist your child as they complete this work and ensure that they are confident before any homework is issued. Homework is provided to consolidate work completed in the centre. This is returned for review by a Centre Manager the following week. World Book Day Competition.
