Maths and English Tuition at Bradley Stoke

Welcome to the Bradley Stoke First Class Learning Centre. We support children and adults in the local community with both maths and English tuition.

Through our structured programmes, we personalise each child’s learning path, which is targeted to fill any existing gaps in their understanding and promote development of existing knowledge. This helps with their schoolwork, builds confidence, and develops independent learning skills.

Our maths and English programmes are flexible and tailored to learners' individual needs and abilities, so students move on only when they are confident with a topic. Regular testing ensures that the best possible progress is made. The 'little and often' approach, with plenty of repetition and practice, really does make a huge difference.

How we work

Our First Class Learning Centre Manager will call you to discuss how we can help your child with maths and English. They will then assist your child to complete an assessment to determine which path is most suitable for them. Once we have established your child's needs, we will put together a bespoke course of action that will support and encourage your child's learning.

FAQ

What type of tuition do you offer?
At our centre, we work with our students on a 1-2-1 basis. We will introduce their work, guide them through examples and ensure your child understands what to do before supporting them to practise with us at the centre. Whilst there will be other children attending the centre at the same time, we do work in small groups and each child works on their own personalised learning programme.
Is there an hourly, weekly or monthly membership fee?
Our students pay a monthly membership fee to visit the centre one or more times a week. When your child enrols with us, there is a one-off enrolment fee (per child) at the start of their membership and a set monthly fee. We also offer discounts for siblings and number of subjects. Please call or email us to find out more about our fees.
How does FCL differ to 1:1 tutoring?
FCL offers structure and daily practice, with a ‘little and often’ approach, enabling the child to retain what they have learnt & gain confidence with ease. It also develops good study habits and independent learning so that they don’t become dependent on others teaching them.
How will FCL help with my child’s school work?
By filling in any gaps they may have and developing their confidence we can change their attitude to a positive one and at the same time give them the skill sets needed to carry through to all school work.
