COVID-19 News - In line with recent measures this centre is temporarily closed for face-to-face visits. However, our centres are still supporting remote learning. Our individualised worksheet programmes can be sent to your home and your child assisted remotely as they progress, via our secure video platform.
You want your child to develop good Maths and English skills. You want your child to be confident in their learning. Welcome to the First Class Learning Centre at Broughton Astley, where we love helping children achieve their potential, whether they are struggling, gifted, or just need a boost.
Students of all abilities, aged between 6 and 14 are welcome. First Class Learning aims to build confidence in children and develop their independent learning ability. Our students progress a step at a time, moving on only after they have understood and mastered a topic.
We offer students a supportive environment in which to enjoy learning and develop their Maths and English skills. Students benefit from a varied approach, including independent learning, and 1:1 tuition by experienced teachers. Our programmes are personalised, flexible, systematic, finely structured, and designed to support children's learning at school.
Our maths and English programmes are tailored to learners' individual needs so students move on only when they are confident with a topic. Progress is made because students gain in confidence, see success in their daily tasks, and complete work in achieveable steps. Watch our film clip to find out more!
Our First Class Learning Centre Manager will call you to discuss how we can help your child with maths or English. They will then assist your child to complete an assessment to determine which path is most suitable for them. Once we have established your child's needs, we will put together a bespoke course of action that will support and encourage your child's learning. If you feel happy with our plan and that we are the best option for you and your child, they will then be able to start attending regular classes at the centre or online. In these classes they will complete a short piece of work which will be marked, returned and discussed with the Centre Manager, who will give them a detailed programme of homework to be completed before the next class.
