COVID-19 News - In line with recent measures this centre is temporarily closed for face-to-face visits. However, our centres are still supporting remote learning. Our individualised worksheet programmes can be sent to your home and your child assisted remotely as they progress, via our secure video platform.
Welcome to the Northampton Kingsthorpe First Class Learning Centre. My name is Carol Moffitt and my team and I have been supporting families in the local community with both maths and English tuition for the past 8 years, we also run classes in a number of local schools funded by the school.
Students of all ages from both state and independent schools, attend our tuition centre at The Pastures Community Centre, Welford Road, Northampton. We cater for learners from age 5 through to GCSE with the pace and content individualised for each student. We aim to make it relaxed and fun but we have proven that our tuition provides solid foundations for the future.
Our experienced Centre Managers, who all hold enhanced DBS certificates, support your child's learning in maths, English, or both subjects, in order to help with their school studies, build confidence, raise self-esteem and develop independent learning skills for life. It's about getting ahead and staying ahead.
Our maths and English tuition is tailored to learners' individual needs, so students move on only when they are confident with a topic. At First Class Learning we believe in 1% steps to 100% success, so that our students reach their potential.
I will call you to discuss how we can help your child with maths or English tuition. I will then assist your child to complete an assessment to determine which path is most suitable for them. Once I have established your child's needs, I will put together a bespoke tuition course that will support and encourage your child's learning. If you feel happy with our plan and that we are the best option for you and your child, they will then be able to start attending tuition at the centre. In these classes they will complete a short piece of work which will be marked, returned and discussed with their Centre Manager, who will give them a detailed programme of daily homework (around 10-15 minutes per day) to be completed before the next class.
