COVID-19 News - In line with recent measures this centre is temporarily closed for face-to-face visits. However, our centres are still supporting remote learning. Our individualised worksheet programmes can be sent to your home, and your child can have help via telephone as required. CORONAVIRUS UPDATE . We are now open again following the lockdown. At present, Cringleford is open on Wednesday afternoons after school, and Taverham is open on Saturday mornings and Mondays after school. Strict Covid-19 precautions are in place. Welcome to the Norfolk First Class Learning Centres. We support children in the local community with maths and/or English. Around 150 local children are enrolled, many doing both subjects. Students of all ages attend our Norfolk study centres at Taverham and Cringleford. We cater for learners from pre-school and primary through to GCSE. Some children are gifted, and come to be stretched. Others are struggling, and come for support. Most are average children who could simply do better. Our staff support your child's learning in maths and/or English, in order to help with his/her school studies, build confidence and develop independent learning skills. Our English and pure maths tuition programmes are tailored to learners' individual needs so students move on only when they are confident with a topic. At First Class Learning we believe in 1% steps to 100% success. We also provide support and practice with applied maths topics, and where appropriate with school tests - KS1, KS2, or GCSE.
On receiving your enquiry, the Centre Manager will call you to discuss how FCL can help your child with maths or English. He will then assist your child to complete an assessment to determine which path is most suitable. Once we have established your child's needs, we will put together a bespoke course of action that will support and encourage your child's learning. If you feel happy with our plan and that we are the best option for you and your child, he/she will then be able to start attending regular classes at the centre (or, during lockdown, remotely). In these classes your child will complete a short piece of work which will be marked, returned and discussed with the Centre Manager, who will provide a detailed programme of homework to be completed before the next class.
